2011 NCS Standings

The American Track Racing Association(ATRA) will be continuing it's ATRA National Championship Series(NCS) for 2011. The second year national series hopes to bring together a collective of the best track races in the US for the best racers in the US to compete head to head for the chance to be named ATRA's National Championship Series winner. Track racing in the US of recent years has seen a myriad of different races and small regional series operating independently and the goal of ATRA's NCS is to bring all of those events to a national stage and highlight some of the great work being done a ATRA's member velodromes around the country.

The goal of ATRA's NCS is to collectively bring together velodromes around the country and highlight their major events and bring additional media exposure for those events. A side benefit of bringing those velodrome's and their events to the forefront of the cycling community nationwide is creating more awareness of the American Track Racing Association and it's mission and goals as an organization. ATRA's mission is to advance the sport of track cycling, the capital improvements of our facilities and for the promotion of track riding and racing.

The NCS will feature Individual Overall Champions for Men's events, Women's events and best overall Team for the team that gains the most points over the course of the season. Champinships will also be awarded for both Men's Sprint and Endurance, and Women's Sprint and Endurance. Each one of the races that is held at NCS events will count points towards the championship and the results will be tallied on ATRA's website, raceatra.com and at the end of the year National Championship Series jersey's will be awarded to the winners of each category.
